I need your help and advice. I've been looking at buying a Morris Minor. I viewed a few over the weekend but I have the little leg problem! (feel free to have a giggle ) I'm 5ft 4in/5in and I really struggle to reach and get the clutch all the way down. Although my hight is not very small my legs are.
I am hoping there is a way around this problem as I do not want this to be the reason I never got that Moggy!!!!!
I have thought about putting in adjustable seats but one I do not really want to do that if I do not have too and two I am finding it difficult to find any that would look right in a Moggy!
Any advice or tips on how I can get to the clutch would be EXTREMELY APPRECIATED!!!!!
There is some adjustment in the front seat anyway using the lever. But if need be you can unbolt the seat and bolt it closer to the steering wheel using one of the other three adjustment holes.

Cheers Dean! How simple's that!??!!! I've been thinking about changing the seats, fitting a smaller wheel, putting cushions behind my back to bring me forward etc etc etc.
I was wondering what those holes were for, now I know!
Very true! ESM do blocks to fit at the rear of the seat and lift the back up slightly.
A combination of blocks, seat full forward and moving it to the forward attachment points should be OK.
Mrs E is around the same size and I'm about 5'10 (with short legs!). Our seat fully back is OK for me and fully forward with blocks is OK with her. Make sure the seat base has good padding and all straps are present as with a saggy seat things are worse.

She's trying some Metro seats to see if they help her.
I don't think I'm braking any official secrets if I say she's fairly short too.

Cheeky! but true I'm only 5ft 1in.................. Not done this yet but will update once I've checked it out
Having said that it certainly would'nt stop me from driving anyway - just put a cushion behind you for the time being, The only reason I want the seat nearer is to be able to get more force on the brake - never know when you might need it
Same here, I found 2" made a lot of difference, and I could actually see out of the wing mirrors! Did you run the 4x2 front to back to raise the back, or how did you? I didn't want anything to trip passengers getting in the back( 2 door), so I'm still thinking of ways to extend the rear legs rather than blocks on the floor!
im only 5ft 6 and dont have any problems seeing over the steering wheel, but the seats are a bit on the low side,i have to stretch to get a good view over the bonnet
In Darwin - they've never gone out of fashion there For all those people who have trouble seeing over the bonnet of a saloon get yourself a pickup - if anything they are too high
(only joking Darwin........)
I had saloon seats and today I fitted a proper van seat - absolutely no difference which is a shame as I really wanted them to be a bit lower!! Got them on Ebay - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... otohosting
