Hello from Finland

Post by 1961nuffield »

Hello all, I'm English but currently living in Finland, I had a couple of Minors in the past a '68 two door saloon and an ex post office van.

I have just bought a 56 four door saloon which is England at the moment!

So my summer holiday is organised already

Hello from England! Sounds like a greeting from the Eurovision Song Contest :-) Are you going to take the Minor back to Finland with you?

Sorry about that, yes the idea is to take it back, I saw a 50's four door at a show last year and that started the plan, I'm trying to find a set of radials for it as its on cross plies at the moment!

Minors are quite rare over here.

Hi, I've always fancied driving across to Finland in my Minor 1000. I was there a few weks ago on business, and found the motorway speeds are only 100 kph, so very classic car friendly.

Where are you based?

Good luck on the journey. Sounds like fun.

Hello, we have two speed limits here winter and summer so you probably saw the winter ones! It goes up to 120kmh in the summer but the penalties are means tested and quite harsh so people tend to behave!

I live about 120km north east of Helsinki which is a rural area and quite pleasant
