I saw this car at a show today, looks great from the front or back but a bit dodgy side on. The work has been carried out really neatly

Did you get it?
Its a Nissan Micra with the front and back of a Mark 2 Jag grafted on.
My biggest question is why?
Too many Minors so little time.....

That's a Mitsuoka Viewt. They've done lots of similar conversions, restyled to look like Jags, Vanden Plas, Rollers & Lancias.
This is the one based on the current Micra:-

No, I can't believe how much time and effort has gone into something that is wrong on so many levels.

I saw one of them the other day but thought it had been made from one of those retro looking Nissan things.
Nearly as bad as that VW Kamper alike thing.

While I was on my honeymoon in Japan, I saw what I figured must be Inspector Morse's Mitsouka Viewt...
There is something definitely very scary about these. What were they thinking - retro chic on a smaller scale for Japanese streets or maybe to bring back some olde worlde charm to English streets? Perish the thought. I wonder what might come next? DB5 front and rear ends?

The shame is the rest of the car doesn't live up to or even look like it belongs to the front. that grille and light combo, as a retro look, works quite well. As an aside, when Jag dropped this style in favour of the 'Corporate Ford' image it was a huge mistake IMHO.
