Hello all-
Let me pass some details onto you about our Norfolk Area MG Owners Club Drive Day on Saturday April 18th.
Meet at Lynford Hall in time to get photos taken and a route map. This, again, will be less a formal event and more of a lazy parade of cars all ending up at the same location whilst following a rally style map. I won't set up a "timed release" of cars, but I will certainly separate my wife and her Midget from a certain Tiger and a certain other Midget!
I have invited friends and acquaintances that drive other marques so perhaps we will have an eclectic blend of cars with us.
Our mid-point this time will be the Castle Acre Priory. I have arranged for car parking adjacent to the main car park. This will make for a wonderful picnic opportunity. May I suggest that we each bring sandwiches for ourselves, but a dessert to share? If you haven't been to the priory before, please allow me to offer that it is one of my favourite spots in England.

The priory is managed by the English Heritage Society and unless you are a member, there is a small fee to go in. It's entirely up to you if you'd like to explore it during the picnic. I would bet that there will be visitors to the Priory that find our cars interesting, so (as always when you take your cars out) we may add an unexpected show for the visitors. I'm working on a nice raffle basket and we'll do a drawing then.
After our picnic, we will proceed with the rest of the drive. I figure we will return to Lynford Hall around 2 pm or so.
I will print up loads of maps, and there's no reservations that need to be made, so show up if you would like to come out. Invite other enthusiasts.
I also have many emails for upcoming events for classic car enthusiasts. Rather than emailing them all, I will print out a summary sheet of them all and have them available on the 18th.
PS- If your classic car is not quite on the road on April 18th, then please still come out for our drive. As wonderful as these old cars are, the people that own them are even better.
Hope to see you there. Please direct any questions to me, but remember, all you need to do is show up by 1030 on Saturday the 18th...no entry fees or registration.
