Change my Username?

Post by RupertBrisley »

I'm a new member and in registering for the forum have ended up with my name as my username rather than something suitably clever like Morrisman or Moggo etc. Any way that I can change it?

I cleverly used my first name... a lot of thought went into it though. ;)

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

Just abandon the first registration - and open a new one if it bothers you! As you can see - many use their 'real' names. I do too on other forums - just not on this one !

I'm probably wrong but I sometimes think people hide behind their forum names.

Paranoid

Post by RupertBrisley »

Fair enough, Just wanted to fit in. I'll stop being paranoid then..... But isn't there a risk that someone might recognise my name, hack into my computer and ruin my life?

Well there's a risk that someone will recognise your name as it's quite distinctive but I wouldn't worry about not fitting in - we're a pretty 'odd' bunch on here

Rupert-

I'd be grateful for you to change your username. I've been wanting to change my username to RupertBrisley but never got around to it. Now, it seems, I'm too late.

Minorthingy

Post by RupertBrisley »

Can I be RupertBrisley 'Minor-------thingy', I don't like 'Newbie' it sounds a bit kind of wet?

I would ask for suggestions but I fear it could lead to abuse?.. Doh! I'm being paranoid again.

I'm sorry you cannot change the "Newbie" bit until you've posted a certain number of times then it'll say "Minor Fan". Why don't you just post as "Rupert" don't think we've got another - yet! :D

Perhaps you should change it to The Bear - we would all know that's Rupert :-)
