I'm a new member and in registering for the forum have ended up with my name as my username rather than something suitably clever like Morrisman or Moggo etc. Any way that I can change it?
Just abandon the first registration - and open a new one if it bothers you! As you can see - many use their 'real' names. I do too on other forums - just not on this one !
Mine is only as-is because it was the first Forum I joined - and it shows my interest and where i live ! Most other forums since then I use my real name.
Fair enough, Just wanted to fit in. I'll stop being paranoid then..... But isn't there a risk that someone might recognise my name, hack into my computer and ruin my life?
Well there's a risk that someone will recognise your name as it's quite distinctive but I wouldn't worry about not fitting in - we're a pretty 'odd' bunch on here
I'd be grateful for you to change your username. I've been wanting to change my username to RupertBrisley but never got around to it. Now, it seems, I'm too late.

Only if you respond to those emails your bank sends you asking you to confirm your online banking details
I'm sorry you cannot change the "Newbie" bit until you've posted a certain number of times then it'll say "Minor Fan". Why don't you just post as "Rupert" don't think we've got another - yet!
