Manifolds

Post by Peetee »

I've seen questions on here before regarding the different cast manifolds available for the A-Series. So here is a photo of three of the most common:

In order they are
Top: Standard 1098cc Minor. for 1.25" carb
Middle: Mini 1000. Takes 1.5" carb and fits Minor downpipe.
Bottom: Marina. Takes 1.5" or 1.75" carb and requires 1.5" (large bore) downpipe and system.
There are other options that were fitted and were or are available aftermarket.

There is an earlier Minor manifold - where the inlet section is bolted the exhaust - with a 'hot spot' between. It - and the top one shown above, are v poor performers - the other two are better, but by no means good!
