My scimitar sabre (like the one above) had been off the road for two years whilst i lived in paris; I went to get an MOT on returing to the UK. The fan fuse failed and they cooked the engine.. being a K serise they warped the head..I got it back on the road only to find the rad was damaged..
I got a new rad fitted only to go for a drive down a road I had never driven down before.. it was dark and it had the sleeping policemen which are just big lumps in the road as opposed to going all the way across. I hit it square on and pushed the chassis through my new radiator!
I got another new radiator and my chassis straightened.
A few weeks later my daughter was born (14 week premature) in cardiff. By the time we got back to aldershot the battery was dead and I had to buy a new one. At the time both my wife and I had 2 seater so one had to go and putting both on the market at the same time (thinking mine would not sell quickly) I was happy that the first one to sell would go and we would keep the other... mine prompty sold in 2 days.
so in the last two years of owning the car it cost me a shed load of money and i drove it only a few hundred miles to and from work.
would i buy another one.. yes without a second thought it was a great car to drive.
positive side i have a lovely healthy daughter who supports Wales when we play rugby!
