Removing front indicator lenses

Post by MattRuch »

1969 Morris Minor 1000 two-door

Just collected the car from it's MOT, and the indicator on the offside stopped working on the drive home. It appears to be nothing more than a bad bulb.

How do I remove the front indicator lens? I saw a drawing in the owners manual, and I assume it "pops off", but I'm afraid to put too much "oomph" to it, or use a screwdriver to pry if that's not correct.

Sorry for this not being an interesting technical question...but I suppose that's a good thing, right?

Thanks in advance

Later two-tone type - you push and twist to remove. You may find the base unit is quite rusty - and the lugs holding the lens may break off!
