jacking tips

Post by tonym911 »

Have just blown some of the housekeeping money on a set of ramps, two axle stands and a trolley jack. What is the received wisdom on jacking up a Minor without bending it? Markc, I know you gave me a tip on that when I picked Jenny up, but someone told me something else shortly after that and I forgot the first thing. Need a bigger brain chip. :x

DO NOT - use the standard jack point - EVER! Always jack under the suspension if possible - or if jacking on the chassis legs, use a thick piece of timber to spread load. Never jack on the floor panels.
