Now it just needs 4 sturdy volunteers to turn up in Cardiff - and change the engine over! Bit far away for me .......

Me too, I would be happy to help if nearer - not enough give and take these days...
Still amazed by Peetee's kindness - I never seem to be on the end of any despite my attempts at help to other people.....

I was referring (somewhat secretly but out loud) to something else that happened to me today, Wibs.... Hopefully I showed my appreciation to you and I would never class you as anything but an Angel
Also, very willing to help you out if there is anything in my area etc and for that matter for anyone else - although I'm not sure I would be as thourough as you !!!

Tis persure nonsense. I removed that very engine on my own. And I'm a wee slip of a thing.
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.

What was the quote "pea on the end of a cocktail stick" if I recall?

It's a free country, you can class me as anything you like despite all and any evidence competing with your view
Also, very willing to help you out if there is anything in my area etc and for that matter for anyone else
That's cos you are a lovely man
I'm sorry if a Bad Thing happened to you, you deserve Good Things

Tis persure nonsense. I removed that very engine on my own. And I'm a wee slip of a thing.
With the cylinder head removed it becomes much less of a beast to move. I've done a few in and out on my own too - without a sling or a hoist too... But really not something I'd recommend. To much risk of digit or limb damage if it lands on you by accident!
With the radiator and complete front panel removed - it will come up and over the front crossmember with just a jack (and a few bits of wood) under the sump.

Are you a member of the south wales branch of the moggy club?
They had an engine hoist for members to use, mind you that was over ten years ago
