Well I received my copy this morning, and two of the items that I had discussed with the editor, and had agreed to be included, are not in there!!emmerson wrote:Arrived this morning, but haven't had time to look at it yet. bmcecosse, if it's that bad, could you do better? If, not then don't knock it. If you can, then why not volunteer for the editor's job!
My wife and I edit the magazine for our caravan club, and let me tell you, it is not an easy job. And think on this---- the only thing that make a mag boring is the contributors -- when did you last contribute any thing to the magazine?
It appears that the Minor world is made up of some of the same people as the rest of the world. ie, those who do, and those who knock those who do!
Is it me?

Speak to Stephen directly, Bill. Straight to the horse's mouth as it were. Not that I'm comparing Stephen to a horse.... There was no space restriction and in fact it was three items that were agreed, here are two of them (copied and pasted from the e-mail sent to Steve on the 30th January.
2009 LEO (Lands End to Orkney) Run Cancelled
Unfortunately due to a lack of sufficient numbers, this years LEO Run has had to be cancelled. My sincere apologies to those of you that were looking forward to taking part.
It is hoped that the event will be run again in 2010 should there be enough interest.
If you would like to register your interest for the 2010 run, please either send me an e-mail, bill.hewlett@mmoc.org.uk, or call me.
2009 MOT-UK (Minors on Tour – UK)
Already there has been considerable interest shown in this new event, which runs from 18th – 25th July, and plans are well in hand.
We will be based at a campsite near to Ullswater in the Lake District, and it is hoped to arrange a variety of activities such as a Minor Drive, visits to local attractions, walks etc. However taking part in any of these will not be compulsory. The choice will be yours.
If you are interested in joining us, and/or would like further information, please either send me an e-mail, bill.hewlett@mmoc.org.uk, or call me.

I work in consumer magazines and reckon that last year's redesign moved the mag on leaps and bounds. It is vastly improved.
I have a lot of letters written to me by people who think my magazine is rubbish, only to find they have been subscribing for ten years and continue to do so. Sadly, harsh comments based on nothing in particular come with the territory...

To be fair, if no-one had any personal likes and dislikes, and/or didn't air their views when appropriate. how are improvements to be made?

I'll tell you what looks exciting.bmcecosse wrote:Such excitement - over a rather boring magazine !

I have always liked that picture and for one would love to read an article about your rally days (with some pictures of course).
How about it Roy? Would not take long to put an article together for the magazine?
