Grumpy - I was yanking your chain !! Nice looking Capri - I had one as a Company car many years ago - the later model with twin headlamps - in Signal Orange! Fantastic car - especially as being a Company Car - it could go twice as fast in every gear as any normal car!

Yes, Roy made a joke, Grandad took it the wrong way.... Should have been on the end of the original thread though as it makes no sense to start a new one :-?

well thank you but i didnt see the funny side as bmc has made this comment to me before i dont trade its just bl,,y boredom , i love the old cars and yes i do change them very regular i see some thing i fancy then i go for it i certanly have no wish to upset any one, i have a certainamount of money which i call my playing moneyall i have to do is make sure what ever i buy that money can be returned, i got the capri but a little unsure yet as to wheather iv doneright but its a very nice car and has been done very well,as i have said i dont wish to upset any one and i have been known to lose money on what i have bought ,,dealers dont lose money , i hope this satisfies the curiosoty, my wife makes me have a nearly new car as so that i cant sell that cos she knows i probably would but when you buy aa second hand carfrom a dealership i couldnt recover my money just to say that i have nothing to hide if i hadf i wouldnt of been said which most is personal to me , i forgot in my first post i also put a years mot on the car, just the test fee as she didnt reqiure any repairs thank you ,,grandad

Grumpy - sorry if I upset you - it really was just a yank of your chain. You must have v understanding Mrs to let you buy and sell these classics - if I sold either of mine - I would never see the cash!!

Must admit I was a bit suprised to hear of the capri, would think that is worse for getting in and out than the others!

Its obvious your chain was being pulled. The place wouldn't be the same without the odd cheeky comment.
I note and empathise with your comments regarding the misses.
Mine thoroughly despairs whenever I get itchy feet about another car, these days its more a look of bewilderment than a full-on angry frown. I guess I've worn her down.

Our relationship is entirely the other way around. I'm the idiot who would have a fleet if left to my own devices! He very wisely holds the purse strings :D

I certainly like gettin new classic cars... However I do prefer to move the old ones out to new pasture when they're up to it.
I keep promising myself that next time I won't buy a wreck, work on it to get it roadworthy, use it a bit, work on it more to get it reliable, drive it, and then get shot of it for the next one! Ah well - at least plenty of scrap Minors have been rescued in the process.
