convertible section

hi , as a newbie , could anyone tell me if the forum has a convertible section and if this is open or only available to members of the national club as i currently am only a member of a branch :roll:

At present there is no specific convertible section, and the messageboard is avalable to members and non members alike.

would anyone know if the wooden header rail should overhang the windsreen or be in line , mine is a south yorkshire mm conv. kit , a company probably now out of business , any close up pics of a conv build would be a godsend :lol:

I'm pretty sure they should all line up inside the car, with a slight overhang at the front (a few mm maybe) but ours is in bits at the moment. I'm sure somebody with one thats actually together will be along soon

Hi Kenny, I have a book, the Lindsay Porter restoration manual that has some good pictures on hood fitting that I refered to when I fitted Martins and Berts hoods. I will bring it on Thursday night to the club meeting. Dont forget the hood frame and wood, I dont have a phone number for Philip but will email him and ask him to remember his frame also. Also measure and write down the distance from the door edge and the rear parcel shelf to were the frame bracket is on the body.

hi again , i forgot to ask , would you be seeing trevor soon at a committee meeting , i meant to pay him in cash for easter monday as its hard to know when cheques will be cashed , if you will i will drop same up to your house .thanks kenny
