Hi
Is the oil leak coming from the crankshaft scroll oil seal this can be converted to a proper modern type oil seal which is more effective.
Have you replaced the oil pump ? how old is it maybe worthwhile putting a new one on if its worn or as old as the engine could it be warped.
Hope my ideas helped.

Of course it does- it's a labyrinth seal and only works when the crank is spinning. Oil comes out here if the engine crankcase has any internal pressure - you need to MAKE SURE one of the breathers is connected to the carb inlet to ensure the engine eats it's own fumes. However - if the engine is badly worn and much fume is escaping past the rings - there is obviously a limit to what it can cope with! Heavy over haul required! The leaking will have absolutely nothing to do with the oil pump - the idea that it could be 'warped' is certainly novel!
