not sure whether this thread should go here but anyway, my front near side door window winds up but only 3/4 of the way. it hits a metal thingy in the channel where a seal should be. I shall be going to the MM centre at Oldbury to get a new seal but what I want to know is how do you fit it. Does the whole metal frame come out to do it or do I do it on the car and just slide the seal down the channel, and how does it stop there when winding the window up and down. help please."mungo "
the part that sticks out in the channel I think is the bracket that holds the frame together, and come to think of it , it is the bracket that is stopping the sliding motion as I wind the window up, it tilts to one side and catches the bracket so hopefully when I put the new seal in it will keep the window horizontal when wound up. the other thing is , does the seal just sit in the channel or should it be stuck in with something. I'm going to get the new seals next week so i'll get a better idea when I come to fit them.
