A number of recent threads have touched on the above, but there's not anything published on Morris's directly. So I wondered if work elsewhere might help. Most of its old, almost lost, but in the 1960s a good deal was in magazines in support of club racing of side valvers such as Austen Sevens and Ford 1172cc engined specials. I've still got "Tuning Side-Valve Fords" by Bill Cooper expanding on articles in "Car and Car Conversions" and published by Speed and Sports Publications Ltd in Nov 1969 (for 14/- !!!) Its good stuff, taking you from mild road tuning thro' to full racing, and if you had to pay a tenner for it from a specialist supplier (they're on the web and I've used some to good effect before) you won't be disappointed. I suppose similar books appeared on Austens as well. Regards MikeN.
