Yes, I rebuilt an MG Midget once and somehow finished up
with two radials on the FRONT and crossplies on the rears,
the speed at which you could suddenly be going backwards
was astounding!
My favourite upgrade is the rubber mats for the front footwells.
Not only do they keep mud off the carpet but they catch the water fron the leaky front windscreen and they also catch all the Castrol fuel additive that leaked out of the bottle in the glove box (again!! but it was the same bottle)
The mats and tyres are the only upgrades that Riley has!
More of a tip than up grade-If you can find one fit a radiator-muff,I managed to locate one from the club mag some two years ago,Now when fitted i have a warm cab in winter with the original heater -the car runs much sweeter cause it warms up quicker and you know it looks pretty good-well worth hunting one down-Now thats a great tip-,well Twinkle thinks so,-Regards Bill &Twinkle the Traveller.
So the consensus is that roll bars are a good fit? I don’t care for that battle ship wallow when rounding a corner, even with new dampers. May have to look into that mod.
ifor me its a 3 in 1 exhast manifold. in london you gat stuck in traffic and tokyo. the manifold gets rid of heat without warming up the carb. fuel evaporation would make the morris stall in heavy traffic. thats mine. never mind the power gain and great sound.
Hmm thats what i thought, im on a budget though so it might have to wait a while. Would you know if i could get one from charles ware, and how much if i could.
Is there such a conversion for the rear, seen as my leafs arent up to much at all!
Get then fixed then. An anti-roll bar won't do the job for you. It only helps the spring rate when one wheel drops or rises suddenly relative to the other. If you went over a speed bump for example it won't help at all.
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.
