Sun visor

Post by yellowbelly »

Can anyone help - Is it possible/advisable for a sunvisor to be fitted to a 64 convertible?

Do you mean the internal driver and passenger sun visors or the bolt on the outside visor?
Just asking as your question does not seem to be getting much response.

Assuming internal sunvisors, then yes. Not sure offhand if and when sunvisors became standard on convertibles. My '53 wouldnt have had them and now has early 948 type ones which are very useful both with hood up and down.
If you mean the steel external ones, I think they look a bit odd on convertibles with no roof behind to continue the visual effect, but thats just my taste. Each to their own...
