Heated split screen
Hi,
I've found a company that will make heated front screens for a split screen, the only trouble is there is a minimum order of 20 pairs.
Would anyone be interested in committing to a pair to help make up the 20 pairs?
I'm still waiting for a price but the guy is going to quote for small rear windows too.
PM me
Cheers
Jeff

one other problem is that the split screen gass was toughend not laminated as per today and the laminated glass is slightly thinner and does't fit the screen rubber properly.Made that mistake myself when I had a laminated glass made up cos I couldnt get an original . Had to silicon it in temporarily untill I found a second hand one to replace it.They are becoming rarer by the day,Worth grabbing one if you see it I've now got two spares stashed away in the shed
Guys,
Thanks for your input, all points have been noted, and the price that I have been quote is far from "prohibitive" and I use my heated screens all the time as I'm sure most other drivers do.
It looks like the front screens are going to come out at approx £120 a pair which I thought was very reasonable for such a low batch run.
Again, if interested (useful comments only please)

Again, on the one piece screens the wires come out at the bottom outside corners and have to be folded over the rubber seal. I've drilled holes through the dashboard and, with grommets, fed the sires straight in behind the glove boxes. The traveller rear screens have two wires at each outside bottom edge, but I expect that you will have one at the bottom corner of each screen half, so will have to feed the inner ones in behind the speedo.
I've had the heated screens in both Travellers for several years and wouldn't be without them - but then we use ours every day. Good luck with the project.
