Well I've driven it up and down the drive a few times now so I just want to take the opportunity to thank everyone who's helped me.

You've all helped me... get the car running right, get my master cylinder out, replace all my brakes including pipes, replace my rear suspension, replace my swivel pins and trunnions, release my stuck on clutch and much more. Now take into account I've never messed with cars before, it just goes to prove how keen you kind people are in helping out complete novices.

Anyway here are a few picy of my moggy... in the fresh air for the first time in 22 years.

Well done - don't forget to congratulate yourself too! good advice is very useful but it takes a bit of ability to get things done.
That's a bigger list than many people could tackle and you must be ploughing through at a good rate.

Sounds like you're well on your way to being a DIY addict - if you catch yourself looking for another project car when this one is back together then don't be too surprised. ;-)

Well... how much have I done now!!!


Completed all the welding.... there were quite a few bits that needed attention. Sills, floor, wheels arches, spring hanger, patches to the chassis legs. Anyway we have finally sprayed it... it's now all in Clarendon, done at home in the back garden and on the drive.

We decided not to spray the roof, the colour match is ok, you can notice it in direct sunlight but not in the shade.

I've manage to fit front seat belts too... which was fun working around the trafficators!

Yes I am very very proud thank you, I can't take credit for the re-spray though, that was my dads handy work.

I recently got in touch with a previous owner, she called it Berlinda. I've only ever called it "The Moggy" as it's only ever been sat in the garage. My three year old daughter calls it "Big Car". So as you can guess I'm struggling on that one..

Hi Josh, the grill isn't chrome, it's Birch Grey. I was reliably told by a gentleman at the Gaydon 60th birthday bash, that Delux models had a birch grey grill (yours could be the same). This one is the pressed sheet steel version, so chroming the slats might not be possible... I'm not certain.... but.....

I do have an ancient cheesegrater grill in the shed with the brass removable slats, which I could chrome when the money situation is better. ;)

I've been putting badges on today and wiring up some of the lights.... it's really looking like a car now!!!

Added for beagle. Both headlights are fitted now with chrome surrounds and the badges are now on... just haven't got around to doing a piccy yet.
