Snak's Morris is almost back together!

This is my '61 pickup, and this forum has been truly kind to all the posts I've made. Thanks so much. Wish a US network were more together (may have to revitalize it!).

Aligned the doors and hooked up more electrical today. 82º out in Snakland today, so a little toasty. Take it to the windshield place this week to have the new rubber installed for front and back windows.

Right now, if I drive it, I gas myself as exhaust gets sucked in through the open back

I got a great deal on the body and paint because the guy made me reassemble everything.

Replaced virtually all the nuts and bolts holding the body pieces on. British Whitworth standard on a few bolts didn't slow me down too much (tapped out a few screw holes to US standard or had decent existing bolts). Painted car with a heavy duty white epoxy. The kind they use on bumper. Very chip resistant

Those look a bit like german seats,thats sacrilige

LOL the original seats were trash. Still have them and all the brackets and seat frames, so able to revisit if I choose to do so. These came from some non-descript 80s American car. I fashioned a way to mount them to a wooden base. Not bolted to the floor. They are rather comfortable, though...

BTW- how many Moggys are there in LA? No real network at all. (at least nothing online) Thinking seriously of launching a good online US site. Nothing exists right now.

Pick up looks superb, I notice the auto box, what engine is under the hood?A picture would be good.I am getting into the idea of an LCV to add to my Traveller now it's finished.I used to run a van so know where you are coming from with the seats.

Ive seen at least a dosen ,in the S F valley.
I have pics of two travelers at santa paula airport
a couple of years ago.Iwill try to post them.I havent
found a site in U S A yet.

Here's a picture of how it looked before paint & cleanup. Datsun B210 engine and auto transmission. Carburetor from a mid 60s Dodge Dart. Runs like a top. I took this when I bought the car.
I'll take a better picture of how it looks now tomorrow.

I probably know who they belonged to - at least one from the guy I bought mine from.
BTW -he had two sedans parked on the street in Santa Paula that recently got towed by the city and have since disappeared. What shame. He was selling them cheap. He's got another sedan he's trying to get rid of here in Ventura.

Hi engine looks like it was made for Morry.I believe this is quite a popular conversion in N.Z and Oz.I bet it's a very sweet running engine that revs really well.I'm a bit of a modifier myself so I understand

How long has it taken you to do?

Was only in the body shop for a little over a week. Prior to that, I was driving it as it was. Got it in mid December, but it's taken me a number of days here and there to get it back together. Got all my rubber at once from Bull Motif and it arrived shortly after the truck came back from the shop. I didn't take it apart, so I had to figure out how things went back together. Most of the time was spent going back and forth to the hardware store getting new nuts & bolts, painting and cleaning odd bits and the like.
Not to mention badgering all the forum members up here to advice

Hope the nuts/bolts fom the hardware store were good quality -correct grade ? Doesn't matter too much for holding on wings (fenders) etc - but DOES matter for suspension parts!

I didn't do that complete of a resto. Just the bodywork, and I did get stainless automotive grade for that. Assembly was things like the cab, bonnet, bumpers, tailgate, doors, lights, etc.

BTW - Truck has Sprite disc brakes on the front.
