I think you will find that some people may have a spare carb and possible needles but as for choke tubes, and lots of posters are not on here every day.
Cheers

You got a perfectly good response that advised you where you could purchase the parts. The firm provides a next day service and should be able to supply exactly what you need. Board members are all over the globe, and to expect someone to be local to you and to have exactly the parts that you need seems. IMHO, to be a little optimistic. Could you provide instant spares for someone else if they asked a similar question?

Pardon my ignorance, and just as a matter of interest, what is the part you refer to as a "choke tube"?

I have no idea what a 'choke tube' is for the SU carb ! Obviously the garage you are using has no idea either - or they wouldn't have described the part so. There is no such part on an SU carb -and there many many different needles - if you had specified which one, someone may have had one spare.
Would be surprised if anyone will rush to your aid in the future - after the rather abrupt comment you made! Hardly the way to win friends - and on here we are a very friendly bunch!

I'm guessing it was the rubber tube the choke cable goes into.

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

I'm guessing it is probably the jet!

How come you don't try to fix things like that yourself? You could save yourself a lot of money; the knowledge on the forum is free and often better than the mechanics.

I thought he was a bit hasty, but give the guy a break, his last post was apologetic after all.

Thanks Les,

Perhaps we can call this a day now.

The reason i cannot fix things myself at this moment in time is due to my health, not having seen the part myself i went on the garage blokes description.I apologised, can't do more than that. The part was as Alex described it.

I'll lock it then, unless anyone wants to make more comments.
