Metallic Green Saloon - Sawbridgeworth Hertfordshire

Post by BigDawgV8 »

Hi All,

Well there seems to be a new Custom Mog in this area.
Seems to have suddenly appeared over the last 2-3 weeks, while I'm out working!
Does anyone know it or who owns it?

Metallic green saloon, possibly 2 door, with massive chrome alloys.
Engine sounds different - big bore exhaust on A-Series or non A-Series?

I'd love a closer look please! :)

Kevin - could it be one your members?

I'll have to flag it down one day when I'm not working!

Cheers

Martin :D

Not one I am aware of Martin, I know there used to be a few custom's in the Stevenage area but none ever came along to our branch meets.
Cheers

Well there is a Rod club in Stevenage called `A602's Street N' Strip Rods`

http://www.a602sstreetandstriprods.com/apps/photos/

In the Oct photo`s you can see a Moggie

Below are a couple of photo's with Neil's Mizz Marmite in the middle at Capel Manor before he bought it, this was created by a guy called Barry Cayley who built custom minors although his workshops were in Hoddesdon

Although I do like Martins Yellow Peril sorry I don't have a better photo

Could it be this one?

It used to live in the Tenbury Wells area, and I did work on it from time to time for the owner, though it sold last autumn on ebay and then changed hands again soon after. Its milder than it looks, with a standard 1300 Marina engine, though a sporty exhaust and big 195/14s on minilite type wheels.

I was thinking it could be that one, I remember it from ebay, quite a distinctive colour but even more distinctive interior... :o

Yes it is rather! Looked like Vauxhall GTE type seats but fully retrimmed to, er, match the car. The piping on the seats was metallic sage green, the same colour as the paintjob. Wether you liked it or not someone went to a huge amount of trouble with that one.
