Lighting Probs

I have main beam, but nothing when on dipped. Cannot find a fault myself and its driving me scatty, can anyone reccomend an auto electrician or garage not a million mils from Warwick please?

maybe an earting problem on the front inner wings

I assume you have also checked that the filaments are OK, although its unusual for both to go at once.

also check the dip switch

but surely you checked they were working when u bought the van :D :D

One bulb had gone, have replaced it, dipped and main were working a week ago.

Main beam is the blue / white cable. Is the main beam warning light working? If it is then the dip switch is OK. Check the connection to the dip switch and any bullet connectors between the dip switch and the lights. Also check the black earth cables for poor connections.

Does just sound like a loose connection - check at the foot switch. And again at the connection just below the steering column.

My Landrover has a similar problem sometimes - I hit the main beam foot switch and everything goes very dark!!! I usually find that a squirt of switch cleaner and a few presses of the foot switch restores normal operation.....
