Meet in Lewes and go to Barcombe - sounds good
We could do a route via Barcome over to Ditchling (mostly B2116 - running along the foot of the South Downs) and refresh the inner man/woman at one of the fine hostelries there - gorgeous, pretty village
Then over via back roads to Wiveslfield Green and North Chailey - Chailey Common is lovely
Could then pootle over to Blackboys via the B102? Those wanting a circular route could then return to Lewes on the B2192.
Or if time runs short, back to Lewes from North Chailey, or the shorter route via South Chailey, on the A275?
