Triumph 1500TC, comfort, and great all round visibility.
early top-of-the-range Chrysler Alpine!! (oh so slightly tappety
)
1952 Rover 75, just oozing quality, and rust!
4 Citroen BX estates, diesel of course. What hydraulic problems?

Morris Minor ;) (well, obviously!)
VW Golf Mark 1 - had some bizzare hybrid of an engine, went like stink, 4 doors, comfy as anything and lovely to drive. I actually rather miss it for my rattling up and down motorways for Agency Nursing... went to the scrappy after I gave it to a friend and the alternator died far from home. She reckoned it wasn't worth the hastle of getting it back and fixed
Mark 2 Escort - great fun

My favourite was a 1993 Rover 220 SLi - metallic green. Loved it - could be docile, but was very powerful. Comfortable and discreet. Until it HUGELY failed its MOT on everything! Sold it for not a lot, and when I checked the DVLA website I was sad to note that it was never taxed again...

I've had a LOT of cars and driven plenty more - usually bought cheaper than cheap and hence almost none get on to a 'great' car list.
1986 1.6L Cavalier (good all round and bomb proof)
Later 1.2L Nova (best ever pizza delivery car)
1992 Civic (stunning level of grip)
1986 Land Rover 2.25 diesel (fabulous through African dirt tracks)
1989 Porsche 911 (last of the true porkers - no ABS, no trac con, stay at home if it rains and impossible to work on though)
1989 Trabant 601 Estate (a total ego boost, simple mechanics)
Sadly none of my Minors make the list. I love them but they were* all rotten and all very unreliable! (*one still is very rotten)

Saab 900 T16 Aero
BMW e28 525i
Mark 2 Mondeo, I know it sounds strange but It was such a great daily hack, fun to throw around too.
The Moggie.
