Fuel pump fault
I have sort out the other faults I had and then found that my fault pump was dead I got new points and fitted them to night but the pump is still dead . There is power going to the pump. Any one have any ideas

Check that the pump feed is live and that the pump is properly earthed. If that is ok and still no joy it is easier to work on the pump out of the car, on the workbench. Empty any fuel out of the pump. If you have a 12V supply, eg a battery charger, connect one lead to the earth terminal and the other to the top terminal and if all is well it should tick madly. If you get a half movement of the throwover you need to follow the insructions in the manual to adjust the settings.
It might be a good excuse to buy a spare pump.
