I have a collection of bits and pieces from Various Morries.
I have found two distinct types of wheel bolts for Series MM's.
One has a flat top and the other has a domed top.
It seems thay cannot be substitued for each other
as they have different threads.
What are they ard why are they different?

The Series MM used 2 different wheel bolts, 7/16 BSF and 7/16 UNF The threads changed at chassis no. 126725 LHD and 131858 RHD.
The bolt head size was 5/8 A/F which can wear the wheel bolt holes.
The 7/16 UNF thread continued on the Series II and the bolt head size was increased to 3/8 whit., the same as the Minor 1000. This cured the problem with the wear in the wheel bolt holes.
If you have any spare brake drums I would advise fitting them with the correct wheel bolts so you know what fits what. I am not sure how to identify a BSF assembly from a UNF assembly. All my parts are UNF.
Could you please send me the details of your Series MM so that I can check my records.

Correct. The early SeriesII was effectively a Series MM with an 803 engine and gearbox. The running gear was still Series MM with a lower axle ratio. The only external difference was the bonnet badge.
The redesign came in '54 when the car was fitted with Minor 1000 type suspension, new interior and new grill etc.
When the Traveller came out although it had the early grill and inst panel it had the later running gear.
