Well we have a Haynes manual if that's what you mean?
Just J-j-j-jiggle it a bit.

The sidelight circuit IS fused but not in the main fuse box. There is an in-line fuse holder below the fusebox and regulator that houses the fuse for the lighting circuit.bmcecosse wrote:No fuses on the lights

Cool. Thanks. I know the garage will probably know these things, but it's nice for me to know from other owners so I am not totally clueless when they're explained

Are you still learning then tonicaek?
I am 16 and have just tonight found out I can learn on a provisional as a 16 year old. Read it in the DVLA's booklet. I'm going to send off for it tomorrow

Unfortunately that is the case! Knocking on twenty and lacking a driving licence far from makes life comfortable. Especially when your younger brother has passed(!)stephenpolhill wrote:Are you still learning then tonicaek?

I'm not too fussed about still learning while owning the car, it means I can get some work done to it while I work towards passing.
I didn't realise you can get a provisional at 16? Sounds like a rather wonderful loophole to me..

Has that change just come in? ISTR hearing something about a proposal to allow people to start learning at 16 but I didn't know it had actually gone through.stephenpolhill wrote:I am 16 and have just tonight found out I can learn on a provisional as a 16 year old.

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

Well we read it in the booklet but everywhere says you can get the provisional at 16 and learn on it at 17. I have just sent off for one and seeming as though my birthday isn't too far away, it doesn't matter too much, but if someone complains about me parking the family cars in the drive, at least I will have some sort of license
Good luck with learning toni. Just think of the car you get to drive legally ;)

Ah, so it's availability of a provisional at 16, but you can only learn when you're 17. This has been around for a while, thus the influx of out-of-school moped drivers.stephenpolhill wrote:Well we read it in the booklet but everywhere says you can get the provisional at 16 and learn on it at 17. I was refused the chance of parking Jeremy on the family drive last weekend.

And thank you, I need all the luck I can get! I wish you luck also.

Thanks. We live in a quiet cul-de-sac so not many cars to get in the way and our drive is quite long.
