Frilford grey

I've been told my 59 minor is frilford grey could any one please tell me the paint code and perhaps the full paint mix,my supplier is having problems with the colour.I got some in a tin but cant make out what's writen on the tin...regards glyn

Frilford Grey was only used between Feb 59 and July 60. Morris colour code was GR5 and ICI ref No is 3167.

Many thank for your prompt reply i'll let my supplier know they did say they did a colour match but it would have been a comercial paint,I'll give them these 2 codes tomorrow..regards glyn

I think frilford grey was used on the Morris Commercials as well.

I don't remember the colour on comercials well not on moggy vans I worked from 1964-70 in a main dealer not in paint shop but as an apprentice mechanic..but could have been on other comercials.frilford was not that popular down our way thanks for replies
