May I ask that when posts are removed ,that the moderator responsible, puts their name up. I'm still waiting to find out who removed my two posts the other day !. Not a gripe or rant just good manners go along way especially on forums where the written word can be interpreted in many different ways

I agree entirely with you Jonathon. I haven't had one removed but did have one moved. spent ages trying to find it. Surely it can't be difficult to say " Thread been moved to So and so." Seems only good manners to me. Never did find out who moved it.
Basically, it is a bit like when your driving and the road you are driving on is closed and there is no diversion sign. Your lost.
Les, If you had a section as you suggest, there would be no point in removing posts in first place.
Heathy 12, Surely if posts contravene T & C's they should be removed. Judging by your signature, are you a lawyer?
It seems as if some of the Mods are frightened to own up to there actions. If those actions are for the common good of the forum, then why not put your name to the action you have taken?
If posts are removed, we need to know all the W's
WHY, WHEN,WHO, WHAT, etc
i've not had any removed for myself upto know.
If its a valid reason, i'm ok by that, but, need to know.

No we don't need to know. The mods to the job in there own time to apply the T and Cs of the board. It is there responsibility to do this and when issues occur they will and do sort it. Problems arise and they should be sorted between tghe poster and the mod involved.

Agreed, and in most cases this is done correctly. But sometimes errors occur that can seem just plain rude. The moderators have my full support in upholding the T and C's so long as they act in a reasonable way
Fair enough - I guess you won't mind when the board is closed down very soon afterwards then?
As the alternative to moderation is to not have this forum, then maybe those who dislike having to follow the club rules could cut out the middle man and just not log on? That way the majority of users who follow the rules and receive an excellent service from the forum are not inconvenienced and everyone is better off. <just a suggestion ;-) >

Shouldn't have taken long really as you just need to look in the correct section
Another way to find a lost post is to look in your profile for 'find all posts' and it is located that way.

Yes Ray, but can anyone tell me why a Mod cannot, when he moves a post, just put "Post moved to Off- Topic" in my case.
I believe the Moderators do a very good job on here. But just think it would be good manners and stop feathers getting ruffled, so promoting threads like this one. Don't think I am the only one who thinks this way.
Hi Ian, some days I've moved up to 15 posts from General in to tehnical, cars for sale, parts for sale, off topic etc.. etc...
Usually I'm doing this in work time (limited to snatch a few minutes here and there) or when I should really be getting some sleep or should be working on the cars. On top of reading lots of posts to check for adverts and other issues I usually am running out of time, so not always got time to be sending many PM's on top.
