Packaging is also an issue with US regulations often requireing specialist packing of goods to be shipped, leading to prohibitive costs.

I have used ESM on a number of occasions, and always found them to be helpful (competitively priced too)

There doesnt seem to be anything in their T&C's about shipping to the US, but a short email might be a good idea

Thanks all,

Heard back from them this AM. All online orders for overseas have to be quoted first, so can't order/pay from shopping cart, but prices seem very good.
I'll let you all know how it goes for us in the Moggy netherworld.

Bullmotive are great, have had lots of stuff off them and I've been really pleased with quality of parts and swiftness of service. You could also try Tom Roy, they have a website as well. Very helpfull and genuine one to one service.

The problem for me, of course, is the high shipping cost of certain parts.
For the first time in years, we US folk finally get a tiny break on the exchange rate, but we'll see how that plays out with CC fees :-)

Would like to know what any of the US folks up here are doing for parts.

I put in an order with BullMotif a few weeks ago, and it was delivered quick (only about 6 days). I asked for a quote from the guy in Oregon, but it took him about 10 days to respond to my email, and by that time I already had the parts shipped all the way from England! And besides, even with the $80 in shipping charges it still turned out the total for the order was cheaper from BullMotif.

Hi Zack,

I've bought from the Portland guy. Great customer service, but better over the phone. He's been around since the 70s, and operates out of a rural area. I think he can be a good choice for heavier, bulkier parts, since shipping from UK can be expensive, but on lighter items, Bull Motif is great. Got my order in 7 days and prices, even with shipping, were very reasonable. Just placed another order Monday.
It just stands to reason that the country where all the Moggies are will have the best resources for parts. Helps also that the US dollar is (finally) a tad stronger against the seemingly bulletproof UK pound.

Rules are rules.

However this particular one does not apply, as yet, to the other board.
