Finally the rebuild is complete - apart from a few finishing touches. I got my MOT on Monday so its back on the road It was a nice afternoon so we went for a short run and got some photos, I will start with a 'before' photo
Absolutely excellent - and very well done indeed. It looks brand new! You can be very proud of all your hard work. Looking forward to seeing it 'in the flesh' at next years' classic shows. Although I will be ashamed to park my rather 'time worn' car alongside yours!
To quote Monty Python, You Lucky Lucky B******!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very nice looking motor, how long did it take you?
Nice to see a Scottish Minor back on the road, hope to see you at some of the shows next year. You anywhere near Kirkaldy?

Thanks took me just over 6 months, working some evenings, every weekend and a weeks holiday from work. I am about 20 miles east of Kirkcaldy.
Elie indeed? My parents often go there for a Sunday afternoon walk and visit to the wee Golf course tearoom. Lovely place and just the right setting for a fab traveller
imho its a shame you changed the colour, but each to their own I suppose.
You may be surprised to know that I didn't change the colour - it was always (and still is) smoke grey.
The old paint (and some poor respraying work) was so faded that it looks almost white in the photos - if you ran your hand across the paint you would get a white powder on your hands It spent the last 22 years of its life sitting out in all weather - I guess that takes its toll.
I haven't resprayed the dash - at least now the exterior paint matches this!
