door repair

Post by Willie »

If you mean to repair the lower 6 inches or so of the door
then repair sections are available but be warned, this is not
the sort of job to attempt if you are a beginner. It is very easy to
finish up with a door which is impossible to align with the door
opening and is the type of job where the welding has to be done
in sections so that there is no heat distortion. This repair is well
covered in the book "Practical Classics onMorris Minor Restoration"
If you can obtain a copy(page 34)
