Good thats the way to go!
I'm just remebering My uncle had a Nissan Micra with a similar type of paintwork, He part exd his 3yr old micra for this one with the fancy paint and got a shock when his insurance company wanted a LOT more to insure it! When he asked why they told him it was down to the paint costing over £100 per Ltr if ever needed any body repairs. Come to think of it I dont see many on the roads now, I used to see the odd one running around, wonder if they have all been painted a Normal colour now?

Well that paint is now banned under the new EU rules. You can use up stocks already in hand, but you can't get new supplies manufactured (unless you ship them in from outside the EU). So eventually all those paints will be painted over.
I think there are new, water-based, EU-friendly version of the flip paints being manufactured, though.

it is a hollow tube, hinged in the middle, which fits over the handbrake and around the gear lever, locking in place and supposedly making it impossible to use either the handbrake or the gear lever.
I gather that they are a bit useless in a Minor, though, for reasons which probably aren't sensible to explain on an open forum.

well we will never stop the profesional car theif, who steals to order, they will just uplift the vehicle, so no crook lock, handbrake lock etc is any good at all
vandals well they will just smash whatever they want
chancers, if they can not steal it with a crook lock etc, they will force the crook lock so breaking the steering wheel and just leave, well after they have done more damage
so the best is some form of elotrinic device fitted ( to the mains supply )
also another perfect reason not to give out to much info where one lives

We also use one of these in our car:

And some other stuff that I won't post on open forum....

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.
