Yes - 16/17/18 ACR is ideal. Usually get them for £1 at autojumbles - I refuse to pay more! Be aware they are 'handed' - Ford units mount on the other side of the engine. The front plate can be rotated to swap them over - but it's much easier to just buy the correct hand in the first place ! You also need to make a longer bracket to support the rear the rear of the alternator (because it's shorter than a dynamo) - although some just use a bit of threaded bar - this tends to allow the alternator to droop - and the pulley is not then running true with the other two - which leads to problems with belt and/or bearings.
