Buttons, levers and all that

Post by R_Parr »

Just wondering what all these buttons and switches are for:
Image
This image shows an orange switch which doesn't seem to do anything when i press it, the other two also do nothing when i pull them.

Image
This image shows a switch underneath my speedo, any ideas?

Image
And finaly this little thingy by the pedals

They are probably straight forward, but i must say i dont have a clue.

Cheers everyone.

The switch under the speedo is to turn the dash lights on and off (only works with headlights on)

The switch by the floor is the headlight dip/dim switch, press it with your foot

The black knob with "heater" written on it operates the valve on the back of the head to let water into the heater matrix (ie, its hot or cold)

The 2 on the right of the wheel are not standard fitment, its a previous owners fitting so its anyones guess! Have they got wires coming from the back? you could try following them?

The one that says "Heater Push" on it, turns the hot water supply to the heater on when you push it.

The slide switch under the dash controls whether or not the speedometer backlight comes on when the sidelights are switched on.

The foot switch toggles between main beam and dip beam headlights when you press it.

The other two are non-standard. Presumably hazard lights or a reversing light or something like that.

Edit: Doh, beaten to the punch. :D

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

Cheers fellas,

i think ill have to retrace the wires for the two on the right because they don't respond to anything at all.
