Leather seats

Post by millerman »

Have just obtained some light tan leather seat in pretty good condition
Unfortunately not from a Saab.

I would like to dye the leather to match the light-blue upholstery in my Traf blue Traveller, so advice/links required where i could purchase suitable material.

I have already looked at this link http://www.morrisminoroc.co.uk/index.ph ... 2&start=60 and wonder if anyone has had experience of using Vinylcoat on leather?

Many thanks

As you've seen from the work on my car, you can re-colour vinyl quite effectively, but no, I haven't actually done it on leather before.

I agree with above posts - both Frost and Woolies will be able to help.

However, also take a look at Gliptone, here:

http://www.liquidleather.com/

These folk do nothing else but leather restoration, and a large part of their business is in re-colouring products. Give them a ring - they are very helpful apparently!

All the best. :D :D

You're very welcome sir!

Let us know how you get on, would you? I'd be interested, and I'm sure lots of others would too.

Cheers! :D :D
