inlet manifold

Does anybody know of an inlet manifold for a SU 1\"1/4 HS2 carb i could use so i can put a branch exhaust manifold on

If by "branch manifold" you mean long centre branch exhaust manifold, then I would say you would be better going up to a 1 1/2" Su on an alloy inlet manifold. MG Metro comes to mind. You can also get them from the Mini suppliers.

Assuming its a standard manifiold just cut out the exhaust sections with an angle grinder, gets rid of the built in hot spot but otherwise have a look on ebay for a compatible inlet manifold
