I am a dumb (insert swear word here)
ok i was a little stoopid. havnt used the morry in a few days and completely forgot that i was under the bonnet about 3 days ago. lack of pushing bonnet down = bonnet on windscreen. oh s**t i say. one dented bonnet. i lost a windscreen wiper aswell.
ive fixed up the bonnet mostly but i need a new crossmember thingee in it cause hte old one ripped off in the event. gotta put two new hinges on aswell but thats alright i have a box full of hinges.
some paint in a couple of places and it will be good enough. call me what you want, ive learnt my lesson. at least it happened on the hack rather than the ute or something like that

Yes, know what you mean been there and done that on the traveller once. All was fine till I got to 50mph then the bonnet flew up, broke hinges and left me with a tiny gap to look for a safe place to pull in...
I am now paronoid about making sure its properly closed!!

make sure the secondary catch is working well too!
The one on the trabi is not good and I've not managed to get it working right yet. It really bugs me! If you want to know why, read up on clio secondary catches - have been a lot of accidents, many injuries and a few fatals

thats an awesome idea. i would do it to the ute if i hadnt already done the wiring. i dont think i would do it again.
to make matters worse, with the bonnet sitting on the driveway after a quick panelbeat, a relative pull us the driveway and drives her [SWEARING NOT ALLOWED EVEN IF YOU TRICK THE AUTO FILTERS - Ray] 4x4 ute on it. i was fuming!!!!! nice dent in the side and a bend at the back and a broken badge. grrrr. its back into shape again but that broken badge [SWEARING NOT ALLOWED] me off as badges arent cheap (i wont replace this one though)
