Alternative Alloy wheels

Post by rvwp »

HI all,
I know the purists out there will pour scorn on any mods / updates to our Minors, but having fitted Marina Front Discs and servo to improve the braking ( I managed to find a Marina front set up brand new old stock!!), I would now like to fit 14 inch Alloys to spruce it up. I will be keeping the original wheels though for possible future use though.

The Marina hubs have been redrilled to 4" PCD. What's the best Alloys to use, noting that they have to go over the Marina Disc calipers, (13" Alloys I believe won't go over).

Where's the best deal to be found from suppliers.

As anybody got a set of alloys that they don't want that they would interested in selling.

Thanks Rich

Slot mags (in my opinion still the best looking wheel) for sale on ebay from time to time. Marinas were 13 inch, so same size alloys will fit.

Try Bull Motif - I did and I'm very happy with them. You may have to lengthen the studs though. Apparently there are two types of stud length (factory fitted) so some cars are ok some need to be lengthened. :D

Hi

I have Marina running gear on my Traveller with 13" wheels.

The gurus say MGF alloys will fit so, has anyone fitted them, if so what size tyres were fitted and consequently what width spacer was used on the front?

A photo would be good to see and not " photoshopped" either!!

Look forward to hearing from you

MGF wheels are 3.75"PCD - ie they will fit Marina hubs that have NOT been redrilled to 4". I understand JLH have a good deal on alloy wheels and tyres.

Looking at a mates MGF it has 195 profile on front and 205 on rear.
I don't know how they would fit under Minor arches.
