I finally got the n/s rear door pillar welded in, and then started on the bit I've been dreading, trying to fit the rear light panels. These seemed a like they would be a pain to fit, and they didn't dissapoint. Once welded in , they leave a little funny gap that needs filling in.

Cue some looking on the internet trying to find what the profile should look like. Messing around with bits of cardboard making a template resulted in some metal cutting, welding, and lots of grinding to make this

I'm pretty happy with that, now to relicate it on the otherside, spot the difference,

Might need a bit more filler that side to match the pair up, oh well, I was never going for a concourse look.
Next job was to fettle the rear outer valance to fit, perfect on the offside, but the nearside rear light panel needed a bit of a slice taking out to make a reasonable fit,

Soon cleaned up with grinder,a little skim of filler and you'll never know.

Now the valance fits ok, time to drill 40 holes to plug weld it across the top, and voila,

And how it looks now at the end of play today.

It now needs welding up underneath the valance, the nearside wheel arch replacing, and then the van body needs lifting off to repair the front where it meets the cab.
Then I need to order a plastic roof and start repair the frame underneath.
