I haven't done Moggy wings but I've done plenty of repairs on the kit car......Stress cracks are mainly confined to the gelcoat surface and need chasing out or grinding off before filling, covering over them will only hide them for a bit. If you've got accident (impact or tear) cracking then you need to put strength back in the panel by building up from behind (again grinding material away first is a good idea as once the reinforcement (glass fibres) are broken there is little strength in that area, the panel will flex over the repair patch and the crack will make itself evident again. If you have a look at the websites of some of the major suppliers (our local one is CFS) they often have useful guides on how to use their materials, and they can often give good (and free!) advice over the phone..........

to be honest brian if they are badly crazed then the work involved in changing to metal ,secondhand or new, would be less then reparing,Ive been down that route and the finishing on repaired fibre glass is never the same as a new paint job on a metal panel. If you can find a good secondhand metal wing then thats the way I would go,If its really bad then sometimes you need to strip all of the gell coat off and resurface with surfacing cloth(very thin)and resin then flat it down with wet and dry takes hours, did it once on a scimitar wing(full fibre body) never want to do it again. But good luck with it
