Heater Contol Valve

Post by Leo »

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to repair the gland in the later type heater contol valves, or is replacement the only option?
I am sure I read somewhere that the aftermarket replacements were of poor quality

Thanks for your reply, since found out that Bull Motif are selling better quality english made valves.
I need to use the car tomorrow if possible to go to the Cowley Classic and have robbed the valve off our Mk 1 Mini. Just hoping that one does not leak as well. So up early in the morning to fit the valve and then hopefully on my way to Cowley. If not I will have to get the old Rover P4 out.
Still intend to dismantle the old valve and see if it is repairable
