Now you just know that you are gonna get 2 different opinions on that subject :-) If its any help, our 2 Minors have each type fitted. The light blue one has original type and the dark blue one has the modern type. Both are fairly new sets of seal and neither leak nor allow any wind noise past. So I guess its a choice of paying more if you want originallity or go for the cheper option if you're not bothered....?

We use the push on type, mainly due to the fact that having painted a car the last thing you want is a metal clip scratching through it, giving potential rust issues.
The push on seal we sell also comes in three different sizes, so if you cannot manupulate the door gap to a purposeful seal, then you can go up one or two sizes.
From a financial consideration the push on seal is cheaper.
