I was originally thinking of staying at Lizard; can't remember why I didn't now. It was probably fully booked.ndevans wrote:Oh.Thought it was Lizard.
Hopefully Penzance will be better than last year.St Just YH is nice though.

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

Would suit me, but if it's closed then we can't do that. How about one of the many meaderys in the area?alex_holden wrote:Trenowin said it has closed down.Judge wrote:I was thinking of the same place as last year?
I tried to book St Just YH but it was fully booked. Wouldn't even take tents.

Urgent question: how many LEO 2008 window stickers do we need?

Never mind. The 2007 stickers have arrived but after trying to apply one I've discovered they have printed them on the wrong type of film - they are designed to stick on the outside of the bodywork rather than the inside of the glass. Obviously I'm not going to order a larger batch of 2008 stickers until I've got this resolved.

I changed the oil tonight and fitted new points, checked the diff etc.
I unscrewed the floor in the boot and I can get all of my spares (and hopefully tools) under the boot. Leaving the boot free for "stuff". I'm going to leave the wood in, though.
It needs a good wash and polish now.
I found a great place for the aerial, under the bonnet, bolted to the front chassis leg, it's out of the way, gives good reception and didn't involve hacking my new bodywork up.
Looking forward to our little drive.
I passed cars from the HERO Classic summer reliability trial today on the way home from Malvern. a 3 day jaunt around the south west and Wales. I thought it would be a good idea, but.....£1650 to enter
Anywhere that lets kids in for the satuday night (or in the beer garden type place) would be great if possible.
oh yes, need to fit rear seatbelts.

Just as a bit of a teaser, here are the souvenir badge designs that probably won't now get printed until after we get back:

Can you discern a theme...

I'm not sure, I've already tried to fit something like that in but it makes the design rather crowded unless you get rid of the flags.

size=12]Hi all
Sorry I hav'nt got back to you about meeting up on Saturday .
Do you have a rought idea where everyone is staying? We could go to the White Hart again but because it has a small car park and a Saturday night parking could be a bit difficult. There is another pub, The Engine Inn at Cripplesease, about 2 miles away from the White Hart on B3311 towards St Ives, which has a large car park and does good food, or we could try another location if this is too far out.[/size]

Hi Steve, good to hear from you again. Unfortunately due to time moving on I had to make arrangements and have booked the White Hart again. Hopefully we will be able to sort out the parking, and it would be really nice if you and Bridget could join us.
