Message board "elite"

Post by polo2k »

Hi all,
Just on here browsing away (cant sleep) and started pondering.

Ive been horrendously active in the past on other forums* and became a Mod etc. I was just wandering if there is any sort of amount of posts before people get accepted as a regular?
I have noticed that few, if any people have over 10,000 posts so its nice to see that there isnt the "post flooding" that tends to hit every forum from time to time.

Alternativley is this different to the rest of the forums out there and no one cares about your post cound and actually looks at what you read rather than how many times youve said it?

*the other forum I was on was www.uk-polos.net and got into a habit of reading EVERY post and replying to any that I could shed any light on.

Moderators are appointed pretty casually, usually with regard to the amount of time they spend on the board. 10,000 posts? I'm nearly there...

Nope. I guess it's just what you say, not volume of posts. 9900 don't count for much, anyway ;)

I've picked up many a good tip from folks who are new to the board but very competent at Minor DIY.
Post count means nothing to me compared to post content.

Agree with the above fortunately we don't really suffer from post clockers.
Cheers
