The idea was for the window sticker to be the souvenir because you can leave it on the car after the rally... This is the kind of thing I'm talking about (but hopefully a bit more attractive!):

Do you normally have one or two rally plaques per car, and how/where would they attach?

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.
If you scroll to the bottom of the following page, you will find the kind of plaques and stickers previously used for an MOT.

I think by using a similar design more along the lines of this, you could incorporate the following words.
Morris Minor Owners Club
LEO 2008
Lands End to Orkney
I personally do not think car numbers are necessary.
The windscreen stickers are of a thin 'clingy' plastic.

I can't see any plaques on that page.
I'm not sure it's a good idea to put "Morris Minor Owners Club" on it because that would imply to me that the LEO is an official club event.

surely it can't get much more official?that would imply to me that the LEO is an official club event.
Even the first website rally many moons ago was an 'official MMOC event' - the club checked that the people running it were club members to make sure that the club liability insurance covered us

Fair enough, they seem a bit pointless to me too. I could put 'LEO' where the number is.Judge wrote:I personally do not think car numbers are necessary.
I'll try to come up with something a bit different later but I really don't like the design of the MOT plaque. The plaques can be left until after the window stickers because I have to order the stickers from a print shop whereas I can print and laminate the plaques at home. Right now I have a car with its engine in bits to get back on the road...Judge wrote:Go into the same page, then click on Germany and then Steinach.
Does it attach to the grille?Kevincolley wrote:i think only on the front would be best
I just thought that if it was an official MMOC event, all the participants would have to be members.rayofleamington wrote:Even the first website rally many moons ago was an 'official MMOC event' - the club checked that the people running it were club members to make sure that the club liability insurance covered us

I tend to fit mine to the two centre bumper bolts if possible, so as not to reduce the air flow, but really it's up to the individual.alex_holden wrote:

No they don't have to be members provided that the organisers are.alex_holden wrote: I just thought that if it was an official MMOC event, all the participants would have to be members.

Alex-been away from the pc for a few days, that plaque looks like just the kind of thing I had in mind.
Progress on the spraying front-I now have two front wings with a more than half-decent paint finish on them (ie liitle or no "orange peel"). So just got to throw some primer and topcoat on the new n/s rear wing I have. Then finish off the other 15 or so items on my to-do list......
Orkney-it looks like you will be getting my two old front wings after all!!
(but not the seats.......they will be under armed guard the whole weekend...........)
cheers, Neil

How does this window sticker design look?

Yes, I know it says 2007. This one is for the cars that did last year's run. I haven't done the one for 2008 yet but it will be very similar. The two flags are Cornwall (representing Land's End) and Orkney (the new one).

Looks good to me too Alex. Just one small suggestion, what about flipping the Cornwall flag round the other way?

Do those joining for some of the way get a sticker/plaque please?
Happy to pay - obviously.
Are we invited to get sponsored for this event?
Can I download a sponsor form anywhere please?
I don't think I exist again as I'm not getting email notification of new posts.
Thought it had all gone quiet

Can do. I'm just going to order one of the 2007 ones today so I can see how the finished item comes out (no MOQ at the print shop I'm thinking of using).Squiggle wrote:Do those joining for some of the way get a sticker/plaque please?
