Don't suppose anyone has a spare tie bar, castleated nut for the end and fork that it slots into do they? I'm at a point that I may need to do some cutting...... :(

I'm still debating whether to come tonight or not - depends how things are going with the car. But feel free to give bits to Matt if I'm a no show

OK, so who nearly collected a car in their boot as they pulled away from the pub? Plenty of tyre smoke from the other car...

The other car was going quite a lick for that road, I pulled out behind him and was reminded of the smell of tyres burning out at santa pod!

In a previous life I was a pit lad for the JCB drag bike team...sounds unlikely I know.....I did the bacon butties and a rather potent fruit salad, one bowl and people were falling about all over the place... something to do with soaking it in rum for a week before, my only duties were to start the bikes engines with a washing machine motor on a long arm and a trolly full of lorry batteries.

Great time today at Avon Park, met a few SADMOG people. On the way home ...... Sniff sniff, what's that niff of petrol, all the way down the M27 but it stopped around the m271 junction. Did you smell anything Rob?

I dunno...the first time out of the house in months...quiet little drive down to Avon Heath for the Dorset MMOC rally I thought - quiet few hours out - meet up with a few SADMOGers....nice..... :)

So I arrive - start tootling round looking at all the Travellers whose woodwork is as resplendent and smart as much as mine is rotten and dull - aha - inspiration to do something to mine someday!!...then after only 20 or 30 minutes after arrival came blaring out over the tannoy;
"WILL MIKE SHIPMAN RETURN TO HIS CAR IMMEDIATELY!!!!" :o :o :o
Cor blimey thought I - whats going on...???
I meet Dorset MMOC official (literally) sniffing round my car - "Youre going to have to move your car your leaking petrol!" Im told.
So breaking out in a cold sweat and fearing for the whole of Avon Heath about to ignite and end up in Wiltshire, I resign myself to being outcast.
Then, just before I ask can I have my £5 entry back, St Carlo of Morris dives underneath and tells the official "no - its just underseal...."
"Is it?!" queries Mr MMOC Official - "Oh yes" says St Carlo...
Pheweee Im off the hook... :D :D
The sniffing goes on for around an hour then - lo and behold who is the culprit - youve guessed it from the notes above ....a certain Mini Traveller  .
Im getting too old for this level of excitement.

Good to see all you chaps today - see you on a Thursday night sometime soon.

Cheers, Mike.

yes it was me ;-(

it never rains, bit it drips

looks like the seam on the tank is giving up so Noah leaks when over 3/4 full (no drips after I had driven home)

long shot, anyone got a mini Estate/Van/Pickup fuel tank? otherwise its 75 quid for a new one, but given the cost of fuel that would be cheaper than it keep dripping!!!

I remember having that on the family Marina. When we sold it circa 1982 my dad had to make sure it never had more than two gallons in the tank...

btw, seen this?
