Currently I've managed to replace most of the front suspension on both sides, then re-dismatle it to get the dampers off (they need to be exchanged)
I've welded up half of the offside front inner wing but if I'd replaced the entire thing I'd already be finished (hand making the 3d curved area where the top bump stop fits worked out harder than I thought)
Whilst in the area I cut out half of the a-post and big chunk of the floor. I resisted cutting out the engine bay floor (tie panel) but that may happen sometime.
The nearside front inner wing is nearly as bad but the surrounding panels seem more solid (famous last words).
So once the front inner wings are done I may have a few weeks left to rebuild the cab sills, cab rear floor, make the doors fit better, replace the load bay floor, replace the rear outer arches, then rewire the rear lights.
I bought a pair of cab sills 5 weeks ago, but when trying to line up the offside one to see where the bodywork ought to be, I found I'd been given a 'pair' of nearside sills!
As well as that, there is a long list of simple but time consuming jobs such as sort out the dash hole for the ignition (currently the ignition lock spins in the dash when you try to turn the key
- I was holding the lock from behind for the last month before it came off the road. The heater doesn't work... but that's not even made it on to the 'maybe' list! It's going to be sunny all the way ;-)
